That's a great panel.

I'm curious what others think about multi-player panels, but I really love them (mainly Bazookas, but I like Hostess, and even Berk Ross in this format).
I have a '63 and '65 Bazooka panel with Clemente, and I really like them, though I know some purists prefer the single player image and standard size.

Mike,

I love complete boxes and panels. Wish I had more, but they have been pricey for a while. I did have some Hostess panels and singles, but have sold most of them off.

I definitely prefer the complete boxes! As Mike mentioned - most have been pricey (as they should be based on how hard they are to get). The holy grail I am still searching for happens to be a complete 1960 box with Clemente! Many don't know there are actually 2 "size" variations for most years of the Bazooka's as well - before you get too concerned, there is no variation in the card size on the boxes (like Nabisco did in 1969), but there are 20 piece and 25 piece boxes - the early ones (1959-1962) have different colors and are really cool (imo)

Day 97

I believe this next item was a stadium giveaway. I have seen more than one copy floating around, but definitely a period piece.

I have been wanting one of these Louisville Slugger commemorative black bats for a long time. They were given to the players and staff of the year's World Series teams. They were not made available to the public and as such the 1971 versions tend to be hard to find and cost prohibitive...at least on my budget. My understanding is that less than 100 for each World Series team were created. They were produced annually between the early 1930s to the late 1990s. I was struggling to sleep last night and came across these two for Baltimore and Pittsburgh listed as a pair. The asking price was half what I was willing to pay for the Pittsburgh bat alone. Sometimes sleepless nights pay off.

I like this photo - it seems like it was on a lot of issues, if I'm not mistaken:
* 1966 East Hills
* 1967 Pirates Team issue
* 1968 Pirates Team issue
* 1968 KDKA

any others?

1 - That photo is part of a tri fold cardboard handout - There was room for that photo of Clemente - another space for you to put a photo of yourself and I think some of Clemente stats or accomplishments. I have one somewhere - I'll post when I find it.

2 - The Congressional medal comes in 4 variations (Not including the 2 solid gold ones minted) - large - numbered (1-1950), large unnumbered (50), small bronze and small gold plated (don't know the quantities on those) - I do have one of the gold plated small ones I will post when I find it.

3 - Plug - I consigned a really nice 1962 Kahn's Clemente to Heritage for anyone interested: https://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball-c...ignment-112816

Thanks for the info Howard.

Day 99

1968 Team Issue Photo...Not sure how to tell the difference between 1967, 1968 and 1969 team issued photos. They all look the same to me. There's an eBay auction right now with all 3 listed in one lot and I can't seem to tell the difference. Anyone know?

I'm not sure how the '69 compares to following--haven't seen one, but the '67 and '68 differ in subtle ways. The '67 has a smoother/glossier type surface whereas the '68 is almost imperceptibly rippled-like. Also, the '67 has ever-so-slightly wider boarders, whereas the '68 has an ever-so-slightly larger photo compared to slightly narrower boarders (the whole card of course measures exactly alike).

When I first saw this next item, I immediately noticed the color & clarity of the photo. When I compared it to the photo above, you can really tell the difference. I do believe that both were issued in the same time frame, but maybe the matted one was in a first print run and then later they printed more of a slightly lesser quality. I'll post a side by side to show the difference. The photo on the right is the more common variation. I believe the photo on the left was part of a small booklet (which Howard made reference to earlier), mine has been cut from that I believe.

Default The photo comes out of the frame

I believe it is the same issue (unless someone possibly reprinted it).

The next item(s) are a newer issue. I don't want to admit how many boxes of Cracker Jack I "ate" (threw out) to get these.

***Those are not my fingers in the first pic***

I forgot to ask, was that b/c you don't care for Cracker Jack, or you had just acquired them before posting to thread and deemed that eating decade and a half old food would not be a wise move?
