Packs, careful on that Williams. It looks a lot in shape to his facsimile signature that was used around that time. I have two examples from the early 1950's that are facsimiles that I can post later today to see if it's a match, but I think it is (hard to tell for certain because it's on the lighter side, but my gut says it is).

In what sense? That the signature is included in the image or that the signature is not that of Williams?

That it's printed onto the image (or stamped), manufactured facsimile signature. I'll post the ones I have later and you can compare, it's probably easiest since you can see your in hand, I'll try to get good scans of mine.

edit: Found an old photo I had saved of a couple, hope this helps. The postcard is a JD McCarthy from the sames series as your I believe. Note that the tail end of the signature looks cut off on the one you have.

Does that one have a postmark too? I wonder if it's contemporary to 1951. The postcard I bought only cost me $45 so I'm not too worried. I don't actually have it in hand though so I won't know for another week when I go up to get it.
