I can't help you with the player ID however Simmons was raised locally here and I noted the un-identified player had a C on his hat, which may depict the town of Coplay which was next to Simmons' hometown of Egypt....That photo may have been talso aken at the field in Egypt, where the Phillies once played an exhibition game in an attempt to entice Simmons to sign with them (which still stands and is known now as "Curt Simmons Field").
