Not sure what is available for viewing now but the Met has the Burdick Collection and I know in the past they have had some cool stuff out.

Gotta Have It on East 57th has some nice memorabilia, although a (very) small shop.

I lived in Astoria, Queens for three years right before I got back into collecting, and in my time there I never went to the Met to see this collection. Really wish I had now!
