One thing I noticed about LOTG is that the level of detail in the listing points to a degree of research that is beyond (many) other auction houses.
I've seen the same item get listed many times at the auction house and at times it is clear that they basically cut and pasted the information. For the items I consigned, it is very clear that a lot of time went into research including a decent amount I had not been able to find in my own research.
