What about all those machines you put change into that presses it into a token?
Then there is all the painted bills and change. Would like to know what exactly you would have to do for it to be illegal.

Oh, I absolutely agree with you. You see a lot of those press machines in gift/souvenir shops and I don't know how they get away with it, but they do. Maybe nobody cares and it's just not worth pursuing legally?

I had never heard of a hobo nickel. Now after finding out what they are I will have to add one to my collection of fine merchandise(unfocused junk).
