Not unique to cards, but sole proprietors who refer to themselves in the first person plural.

Default Just bothers me

"Pack Fresh" when describing a card. Somehow it just grates my nerves.

Not a term but a practice...

Listing an item auction style on Ebay with an opening bid at or above what the item will actually sell for. Why waste anyone's week? List it "buy it now" or best offer.

Default 1949 LEAF set

Hey guys....and, PSA and SGC....listen here.

This set was NOT issued in "1948"

Nor is it a "1948-1949" set (it's not a Basket Ball set)....it's a BASEBALL set !

This set was issued strictly in 1949

I believe their error may have been that they thought a '1948' copyright date meant it was issued that year...and this common misconception is further perpetuated by third-party graders.

All that being said, I am certain you are correct and I would never consider dis-agreeing with you.

"Advanced Collector"

Shut up. Just shut up. I find this one to be extremely pompous and a cry for attention.

I know others have mentioned it, sorry for the repetition, but this one irks me to no end.

The one that makes me cringe is "set break." What do I care if a card I'm interested in was once in a set?

It sounds more like the seller is bragging, as if to say, "I have a complete set and am breaking it up." Well, congratulations to you, I guess.

A hobby "theme" that annoys me is how many seem super excited to get a card in a slab as if it will magically transform a card to a higher level of existence!

I hate when a grouping of unlike cards is referred to as a "set!"

Along the same lines at what point is a grouping of like cards a "partial" set? are 10 t206's a partial set????

I dislike "puffery" in most forms as well.

I can go on and on!!!!!!

I love it/hate it when I see "set break" in an Old Judge listing. Really, you had a complete set of Old Judges and you're now breaking it up? Either that, or the terms "set break" has lost all meaning.
