Great statue Bob -

Here is Walter and U. Dunbar as The Big Train approves his likeness.

Default Nice image

Picked up this photograph in trade on the weekend. Would appreciate help dating it - c.1900 is what I am thinking.

Not attributed to the ribbon I already had but a nice companion piece nonetheless.

Yes, thank you very much Chris, I do appreciate the photo, I apologize for not mentioning it first. Here are the photos that I have, they are a mix of original photos and copies of copies.

Hey, Chris: I have an Associated News Service poster with that image dated Oct. 27, 1924.

Bob: The article that accompanied the picture of the bunch of them said that a total of 50 were produced. I've always assumed they were sold to defray the cost of Dunbar's work when the big statue never got authorized.

Clint: I think the red "W" was painted on after the fact, I've only seen the one like that.

That’s an incredible statue Bob! Great to know that another one has surfaced. The details are amazing and unlike so many others the likeness is perfect.

Hi Clint, I was answering your question about the red "W," no idea why I got your name wrong. I'll pin it on old age!

Excited to pick up these trophy balls from the 1903 and 1904 Army - Navy football game as well as an unused ticket to the 1904 game. Not sure if I should leave them as is or have the refurbished.

It never ceases to amaze me what’s “out there.” I would leave them alone. They’re fantastic.

I know this isn't quite prewar, but it is a rarity I will not be selling.

I’ve been after one of these, still in the bag, for a while. This was the first bobbin’ head ever. They produced Giants, D**gers, Braves and White Sox. 98 cents in 1960. You can see how the color base series got its mold.
