Paul...what is the story behind that 68 Seaver color separation? Never seen it before.

Awesome Seaver's Paul, and to top it off that is only the second example of the 25 cent Puzzle envelope I have ever seen. I dabble in cards with Seaver in Mets regalia and pick things up as I find them but you are really finding some esoteric items.

The 68 Seaver came from the Topps Vault. Notice that he is pitching left handed. I think that is why Topps chose to go with the boring portrait instead of this much nicer picture.

A pair of Exhibit test pieces:

On the left is a Mays proof.

A Salutations Holmes proof. The white borders are far beyond the normal card edges.

I love this newspaper issued 1960 Koufax:

Hallicrafters Lemon and Rosen premium:

After years of research I was finally able to pin down these nearly square smaller paper premiums:

1955 All American Sports Club.

Here is an interesting cabinet-sized version of the 1969 Shindana Ali card, next to the as issued card:

I say prototype or test because some of the cards have art that is different than the art on the as-issued cards.

Got this in the Sunday paper. it came with a folder to collect other players. It was a price of 2.99 so I guess the must have sold them else where.
