Dan - great Ruth! I just picked up three of its less-impressive cousins at the Raleigh show this weekend. The dealer I bought them from mentioned that they were among a few dozen E121-80s in a recent "find," and that there was also a Ruth in the bunch that graded 1.5. I showed him a picture of yours, and he confirmed that was the one. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I thought it might make sense given the similar residue on the backs of all the cards and the close cert numbers (he said they were sent to PSA in two batches).

I was also thrilled to pick up this D303 Bescher. Probably won't ever see another one at the Raleigh show.

Just picked up these three Cobb postcards; thanks to all of you who thought of me. The Wolverine is rare and even rarer for the grade; and I've never seen the other two postcards before including the Cuban card from the Tigers' 1910 tour of Cuba.

Beautiful Jeff...I'd surmise the other 2 are more rare than the wolverine?

I've never seen either outside these two examples. Congrats Jeff!

Thanks Dan! That is very interesting that they all came from the same find. Any ideas on what the staining source might have been? I had originally thought candy, but that seems a little less likely considering they all have similar staining issues. Regardless, great cards!

I assumed it was some sort of adhesive, since it's only on the sides. There are also some small spots of paper loss on mine in those areas. I will be freeing mine from their plastic tombs, so I'll let you know if I see/feel anything interesting once I get them out.

The seller has a few dozen more for sale on eBay from the same find. They all have the same staining. All were graded 1.5 - 2, and many have better eye appeal than the technical grade.
