Default Whilst packing my '30's Burkes for The Philly Show....

..

..I happened upon this stack o' stuff and thought I'd show them off , just in case there are some newbies and youngsters on this forum who might not remember the faces that go with the names in that terrific article.... The Fordham Flash was a prolific signer and hung around baseball a loooong time...I don't actually have an awful lot of auto'd stuff but sometimes you fall in love...

In retrospect, the Cardinals got the better of the deal.

Hornsby had three titanic seasons going from NY to Boston to Chicago then broke his ankle and was basically finished as a player. He was such a toxin in the clubhouse that NY threw him away after one season and Boston followed suit.

Frisch became the driving force of the Gas House Gang and went to four WS with the Cardinals: 28, 30-31, 34) and was the GHG's manager. Won the MVP in 1931 and played through 1937. He also trained up a fellow no-holds-barred field leader, Leo Durocher.

Are you saying you'll be selling Burke photos at the Philly Show? If so, there are some I could use if you've got em. Unfortunately, I can't make to the show from NY this time . Been to the past two.
