Tom -- Just want to say a big thanks to you for taking this huge project on.
I know everyone on the board appreciates having a run at this find.

Because you're doing this the right way, giving over 50 members their shot in order, I'm sure this is going to take quite some time to settle out.
Hopefully we can all remember that, and be patient to a fault as this runs its course.

This kind of thing is what makes Net54 so great -- Thanks again!!

So, say for example that I am #3 in line for a card. How do I know when the two people in front of me have decided to pass and that it becomes my turn to buy?

When it is your turn in line I will come to you. There may be some back and forth between a couple of people but hopefully we can get it done fairly quickly.

Indeed. I have started the process with those who have mostly "first in line" status on their wantlist. Those are the easy ones and they affect the majority of the cards. I will get to everyone eventually, and your place in line for the individual cards will not change.

I am hoping to get the first batch of cards shipped out just after the holiday, but $$ transfer times, etc could work against me a bit on that front. I hope to get the first ones shipped out by Saturday but it could be Monday afternoon. This also depends on the availability of the owner of the cards as well.

I will be sure to notify those awaiting shipments the status as soon as I know, and will send tracking info to all who get cards.

Some have given me a secondary list apart from their original wantlist, which is awesome. I highly recommend this as it will make for a "round two" of sorts.

Finally, if anyone who sent me their original wantlists have not yet let me know which cards they are interested in, please please please please please get me those lists as soon as possible.

Slight change in plans.

The gentleman whose collection these are in will not be available until this coming Wednesday for me to pick up the cards that have been ordered (over 125 in total). I will be there on Wednesday evening to get the cards and will send them out on Thursday. I will send tracking info to everyone who has made a purchase at that time.

Also, I am going to end the private sale portion of this adventure at 12:00 PM noon this coming Tuesday November 28. There are several people I have not heard from with regard to what items they want. Some have been in contact with me but others have not. This is getting a bit too much for me so I will give it until then. That way everyone who has given me a want list will have had over a week to decide and communicate with me.

If there is anyone whom I have not yet contacted please let me know. It is likely because you are behind some people who have not been able to get me their list.

Starting at 12:00 noon and running until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, anyone who has already sent me their wantlist will be able to order any items at all. On the wantlist or not. You will have a six hour window. First come first served. Before then, it will still go in order. But between 12:00 noon Tuesday and 6:00 PM Tuesday, all cards that have not yet been paidfor will become available to everyone who has access to the scans and prices.

After 6:00 PM Tuesday I will shut things down as I concentrate on getting the items and shipping them out.

Some time on Thursday or shortly thereafter I plan on posting the scans and pricelist to the board in general. Thus anyone will be able to get whatever cards they like. Again, first come first served.

This is a great event for the forum, like a little party. It is top notch...

I would love to see an event like this taken to the next level...Video web series documenting the entire thing...Or even periodic live streams of the breakdown and whatnot...

Pretty good start to a Cubs collection. I'm 2nd in line for another batch, so hopefully I can snag a few more from there...Great transaction and excellent communication throughout the entire deal...
