There are a lot of British card dealers, and many also carry stuff from the former British empire as well, like issues for South Africa.

Outside of the more difficult sets, a lot of the sets are collected as sets, and only in what we'd think of as really nice condition.


I bought a lot of mixed non-sports, maybe a couple thousand of them in rough shape for under $100. It came in a big flat rate box, and the packing material was a binder of I think 1991 Score that may have been a complete set, and a couple thousand of the same score set loose surrounding the stacks of the British cards. Sold the binder and the rest of the packing for about half of what I'd paid for the whole thing.

I am a collector of pre-war UK golf cards, eg. Harry Vardon, Bobby Jones, Tom Morris etc. and British dealers have by far the best inventories. Check out rare cigarettes.com. They have a great selection of not only golf but tennis, boxing, and if you care cricket. Never seen any baseball but keep hoping for a T215 Pirate. So far, no luck.

the url is ebay.co.uk. You can also go to the ebay home page. Down at the bottom right it says 'eBay sites'. You can use the drop down to see all of the countries that have their own sites. You may also wish to check the Australian site - ebay.co.au. The tobacco/sports cards are under collectibles. You can also find listings under sporting goods in the sub-category 'sports stickers, sets and albums'.

I find some nice items on ebay Australia. The postage is what makes it difficult buying from there. Even with the current exchange rate AU$1.00 = US76¢ it can add up.
