Rather than selling them individually over time, they put them in a giant lot with an auctionhouse. The buyer of them thought that because all Titus cards were going through the roof, he'd be able to buy them from the auctionhouse and then flip them to the guy who had been hoarding them. I think he failed and has been stuck with most of them ever since.
I really doubt that scenerio. Buying cards in a lot to sell to one guy that you arent sure will buy them. Its like buying 100 1952 topps baritromes right now though i have been criticized when i said the pricing on those will fall

conjecture and speculation with no evidence at all. Usually the simplest answer is the right one.

LOL, Bobby!
Also, IIRC, around that same timeframe someone was hoarding
T206 Pelty horizontals and prices were high on ebay. A few of us board members were online here swapping posts about it. One member (forget who) had one and put listed it there at a jacked-up BIN. ... BANG! Went in an instant. We all laughed.

Again which means zero.. people that name call tend to have no real argument.

If you would like to mention the name of this hoarder and the one person he was trying to sell it too and what transpired, that would mean something.

Heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy and we all remember it the same way is hardly gospel

Default The Stache

That stache is compelling. For the T206 experts, are there any others with a stache of that magnitude?

There is plenty of evidence if you just use the search engine on this forum. Or do we have to do all the work for you?
I even sold a card to the hoarder.

In more hoarder news, someone just listed 191 1972 Topps Ron Cey rookie cards on comc.

Titus is the only subject in the T206 set with a mustache.
