Need some advice on the best way to frame a card without using adhesives of any kind on the back of the card.
I have a '65 Mantle that has some paper loss on the back and is not in the best of shape on the front. I'm thinking about having it framed and giving it to my dad as a gift for Xmas. Not looking to get into an expensive professional framing job. My wife is pretty handy and can handle basic framing and matting. Are there clear "corners" that can be glued to the backing and hold the card in place? Where is the best place to look? Thanks Chris |

That Sir Isaac Newton collection is amazing. I did not have any idea that there were so many different cards of him.

Do you have a Michael's store near you? If so, that's a great place to look for frames and ideas. They also have items to hold baseballs and what not, so it's possible they have baseball card products as well.

Place the card in a bigger sized top loader and tape it behind the mat. That works great. Use a new toploader... It works great.. the card may shift over time a little, but I have had good luck with this method.

What I do is to use the self adhesive "archival" clear photo corners. I use those to put the item on a mat behind the cutout mat. You just have to be sure the frame can handle two layers of mat. |

You can also use stamp hinges. They're little pieces of folded paper with slight adhesive on them. Stamp collectors use them all the time with no risk of damaging the item.

Thanks for the ideas. Heading out to run some errands and there is a Michael's nearby. I'll let you know how it comes out.
