Default 1927 Babe Ruth Home Run #51 Ticket

Offered is a ticket to the September 13, 1927 game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Indians. Babe Ruth hit his 51st home run of the season during the game. The ticket comes from a season ticket booklet and is in nearly flawless shape. As an added bonus, Willis Hudlin, the man who gave up Ruth's homer in the game, has signed the ticket.

Asking $420 delivered.

Hi, I saw that ticket in MEARS auction last night. I was going to bid on it but it says "Game 61" on the front. If you flip it over the schedule is on the back and it says game 61 was on September 10th. Ruth didn't hit any in that game. He hit # 51 on Sept. 13th two games later. I think they did not check their facts and its right on the ticket. Am I right?

Wow I hadn't even seen the back. I counted the games on the schedule and game 61 at home was the one that Hudlin pitched where Ruth hit #51.

Now I am confused. I will try to find some experts in vintage tickets and see if the original schedule game 61 is the one for this ticket or if the actual game 61 was.

Ugh

That's not particularly surprising.

You can still get it slabbed and possibly get $440 as 2 bidders went after game 59 and doesn't look like anything of significance happened in that game.

I think I was underbidder but knew it did not match the HR but was happy to get a 1927 Yankee Ticket. The auto was a plus..
