Nice bunch of pick-ups this month! The Anson Presentation bat is amazing. I recently picked up an interesting Anson item. Here's an excerpt from the Adams County Free Press (94/1909):

"This should not keep anyone away from the big Clarinda fair, as the best base ball names ever played in the state will be played there on next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Humboldt, la., Atohlson, Kan., Superior, Neb., and Clarlnda are the teams. All are high salaried players, the best that money can hire. Capt. A. C. Anson, probably the greatest base balllest the world has ever produced, will umpire all the games. There will be two games each afternoon. A schedule of the games may be found la the large advertisement on the last page of this paper."

Saw a similar image in RMY a while ago, but never pulled the trigger. Glad to find a similar pic of Rickey and Jackie, Jr. 1949.

Picked up two more position pins. I'm specifically trying to assemble a set that have the Dispatch & Pioneer Press ads. Anyone have a First Base, Left Field, Center Field, or Catcher? I actually have a few with different ads I can trade

Chris

Picked this up yesterday. Did not mind the 2 hour drive on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Great pickups Dan!
I've always loved that Singer baseball game.
