Registry and website overhauls have been talked about by SGC in the past.

They can use a website update since they're still promoting that they'll be at the Chantilly VA show in March-April 2017 on the front page pictographs.

To me, their website, registry (or lack thereof), etc., is what holds them back from overtaking PSA. They would be very wise to undergo a complete overhaul of their systems.

Overtaking PSA would be a pipe dream. A working website and useful pop report/set registry might get them 20% of the way there.

lately, the only thing in common with PSA is missing their turnaround times

Sorry, should've been more specific. I meant more in a market value sense. PSA cards normally carry more of a premium and are valued more than SGC. But I think that's largely due to the registry difference rather than slab appeal/reputation/etc.

With SGC being in Florida doubt they will do anything about these issues soon. From what I understand its pretty much a skeleton crew now.

I am assuming the SGC message boards are gone permanently? I sent them a message asking if it was just temporary or permanent, but they didn't reply.
