I agree; there's a market saturation point, when all collectors in the market place have all bid on the primary issues over many years.
I think the scarce items (Pittsburgh Exhibits, Stahl-Meyers, etc) will only go up as people recognize Topps is mainstream and common, with the only thing to differentiate uniqueness being condition / number grade. A '55 Clemente is not rare, nor really is a '52 Topps Mantle. Whereas, the truly rare and unique items are scarce all by themselves, not "artificially scarce" by being designated an 8 or 9 as opposed to a 6 or 7. just my opinion |
