FWIW, the seller doesn't ever put the bat into Aaron's hands. (I hate that dodge myself.) It appears to be EXACTLY what he says it is: a game used R43 Hank Aaron bat. His story could be absolutely true: somebody got this prized possession in the late 50's at a Giants game. It's just that this was probably a stock bat that some pitcher or shlub grabbed, used, cracked, and handed to a kid.
And to KCRFan: you must have finer taste than I do! If I can get a 50's or 60's (or even 70's!) REAL Aaron bat for under a grand, but it's cracked and dried some, I'm taking it!! Ken
