Vintage bball
I saw a game about two weeks ago in Franconia, NH, between the Maine (I think Orchard Beach) Dirigos and the New Hampshire Granites. Maine plays 1860's rules and NH 1880's, and the first game was 1860's rules.
It was a lot of fun, and I learned a few things about the game. They finished early and actually decided to play another game, 1880's rules, but I was too sunburnt to stay. Big props to the left fielder who caught everything, line drives included, barehanded, and one player who hook-slid into first, full speed, everytime, because apparently you couldn't overrun first then. I thin the Dirigos are a travelling team, and play around NE. I think they have a few games against the Boston Beaneaters upcoming if anyone is in that area.
