Still enjoy picking up what I can here and there though.
Currently at 248 for my 52 Topps collection, but I do have to get my set organized to make sure I haven't missed any, which I think is a possibility?

I was given 148 from my Father so I have officially added 100 cards (all low numbers) since I joined this site back in January of 2016.

Just finished my 1962 Topps Master Set, getting the #141 Babe Ruth Special Green Tint.

Now, looking to finish my 1966 Topps Rub-Offs. Need 8 more to go. I gave myself 5 years to finish this set, now past the 7 year mark!! But it is fun, which is all that really matters.

Default 66 Rub Offs

Mike---what got you started on the Rub Offs ? It has been along time since I worked on my set but somewhere along the line I also ended up with an uncut strip

Al -

My longest uncut strip of 66 Topps rub-offs is only 5 rub-offs long.

I got started as I wanted to recapture the fun of building a set card by card, The rub-off set was small enough to complete, seemed available in singles and small lots, not super expensive and was from the heyday of my collecting youth (1965 to 1971). I set a goal of 5 years and $600. I wanted decently centered examples, in excellent condition.

It has been fun! As they say on those house renovation shows, I'm slightly over budget and a little past my time deadline.

I think they were printed in strips of 20, but I could be wrong. The last 20 I needed seem to be printed in shorter supply. I rarely see them up on Ebay and even fewer in a condition I would like.

Thnks for your response.

Mike
