Jay T,
It is more than likely the cards were printed in sheets with black bars and then cut down as needed. They may have been printed in different layouts according to which product the various cards were meant for - as in other years. To date, all of the cut down versions ie single panels, 2, 3 or even 4 card panels of the black bar "Twinkies" cards came from full sheets. It is possible that they were printed in other configurations in 1977....but probably not likely. Z |

That's what I'm implying.
As well, the only way that Twinkies have been identified were by the black bars. I contend the bold texted cards are all Twinkies cards and one doesn't need the black bars solely to identify them.
