Thanks for the input guys, I agree with all of you and for some strange reason decided to start on the 1952 bowman large set. If anyone has doubles they want to sell please let me know. Looking to do the commons in raw vg to ex condition and the hall of famers probably in psa 5 or better although a nice looking psa 4 can do. The sp's I'll probably just take what I can get. Going to throw consistency out the window. Figure it will be a nice multi year project for me.

One of the fun things about the 56's is that the backgrounds tend to show print flaws, so if you are not a condition bug (and I'm not), you can look for clean cards that aren't necessarily sharp cornered and piece together a really appealing group for peanuts:

I agree. Love the 56 set. I had over 50% of the set and decided to sell it about a year ago. Still kicking myself for that decision. I may start it again soon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Hands down the 1951 Bowman set for me. Beautiful artwork; similar in style to the 1951 Bowman baseball set (my favorite baseball set), and really, the Bowman cards from 1950-52 are beautiful miniature works of art.

58T. Largely because Topps mirrored the front design in its 1959 Topps Baseball offering.

I would go with 57 Topps and 51 Bowman. Two great looking sets.

1959 Bazooka followed closely by 1957 Topps.
