Default Larger Image of Clemente Signed Check

Here is an up close view of the loop over the T in his first name on the signed check.

You can see by the amount of comments on this one how tough it is. No one wants to put their head out to get chopped off.

You state your case well and when I buy an autograph i only have to convince myself. If you feel good about it then that is all that matters. Like I said, I have limited knowledge with Clemente. I doubt you are going to get many comments based on the subject though. Maybe some others will chime in

Default Thank you for keeping me company...

on this thread Jason...LOL

As i mentioned before, i am in no way an expert or pretend to know a lot about autograph authentication, but i try to minimize my errors.

Another thing i thought about is, if forged, why choose a Post Cereal Issue and why not an attractive baseball card?

Let's hope some of the conoscienti will offer some thoughts.

Thank you.

Default Details in the R and C or is Dorsey that good?

Hello all, since the thread has come to a standstill i just wanted to add some more information for thought and analysis. I was just using signed check examplars as a reference because i am assuming that Mr. Clemente did not have anyone signing his checks for him.

I have already left a photo in previous posts of another check that had the loop over from the letter O to the letter T. I am now seeing a similar characteristic on a portion of the lower portion of the R in the first letter of his first name. Also, some similarities in the C in his last name.

I tried to manage with some photoshop improv, but as you can see, i struggled with the application. LOL

Maybe i am seeing something that is not there, but was Dorsey that good?

It's definitely not a "Dorsey."

Just a forgery.

Default Similar characteristics...no?

Hi Chris,

Would yo be able to chime in on what is a tell tale sign from this Clemente piece that is being offered in Goldin Auctions recent auction, as compared to the signed card?

Maybe it is just my eyes that play games with me? Probably more my inexperience..LOL

Thank you for your patience with this issue.
