That could be the case. It could also be that by judging by the card only and ignoring the holder, $6000 seems reasonable considering the eye appeal of this card compared to others on the market. There are some shaky 6's on the 'Bay.
Coincidentally, what I would consider a strong 5 looks like it was listed over the weekend for $1950ish. It's sharp and still for sale. I suspect it won't last very long. As far as significantly undergraded cards I've seen recently there was a 33 Gehrig PSA 2 from the Goudey set that sold last night on Ebay for $2199. I have to believe this was an error on behalf of PSA quality control. This card looked no worse than 5. Did anyone else catch this? |

I've submitted cards that looked like 10's, but got 5's due to a microcrease that is invisible to the eye. Could that be the case here? If so, it likely isn't bumping, no matter how nice it looks. Which, of course, is kinda silly.
