Steve - there's likely a (large) number of sets that may be just as tough. For example, I don't think an E104-III set exists, but I think there is still a lack of clarity on the full checklist of that one.

A run of Zeenuts is an impossibility as well.

N167 has been completed, even if some of the cards are likely unique.

E107 is completed (per this thread), and I don't think a full N172 is documented - but that beast is outside of my expertise.

E107 is not completed per this thread. Has anyone every completed the N370 Lone Jack set, E254, E270 or the Just So set? There are plenty more probably not completed....

Leon-

I've always trusted the word of oldjudge:

[B]The set has been completed by one collector. A second collector is finished or is one team variation short. [/U]

Sets that have never been finished:

1. Old Judge-If you define finished as including all team variations, to be consistent with E107s.
2. Gypsy Queens
3. Kalamazoo Bats-One collector is two short which is an amazing accomplishment,
4. Four Base Hits
5. Just So
6. Whitehead and Hoag Pins
7. G&Bs
8. Yum Yums
9. Tomlinsons
10. SF Hess major league set
11. SF Hess California League photographic set

I may have missed some. The point is, with the exceptions of N162s, Mayos, Allen and Ginters, and SF Hess Creoles, most 19th century sets are impossible or virtually impossible to complete. N167s were completed by Jim, and Lone Jacks may or may not have been completed once.

Not to hijack the thread, as E107s are one of my favorite sets, but has anyone ever completed the T209-II set (including Reeves, Sherrill, and Steinbach)? It's not just the 19th c sets that are tough! (Although some are really, really tough!)

T200 Premiums have been completed.

As with the E107s, there are lots of sets that have never been completed. Many of them do not have concrete set checklists as new subjects are still being found to this day: N172 Old Judge, N173 Old Judge Cabinets, N175 Gypsy Queen, E223 G&B, N403 Yum Yum, W600 Sporting Life Cabinets, etc.

AFAIK, the 1908 Rose Co. postcard set of 192 (12 players for each of the 16 teams) has never been put together. In fact, images are not even known of all of the issued players.

To the best of my knowledge these postcard sets have never been completed... Hubel, Underwood & Underwood, National Photo Company, Van Oeyen postcards, ALPC
