The hands in the instructions on the back sometimes face right and sometimes face left (I think this was the distinction but don't have mine out right now to confirm). So, you have blank, facing right, and facing left. I don't think there was a premium when I last looked for either instruction

I saw some called proofs that were blank backs, but not peel off. Are these what you call blank back, something else, or just made up?

I don't know about those. The blank back ones are still peel offs, just no instructions. I'd be skeptical about the "proofs" and would lean towards them just being stuck to something a while back.

I have a set of these in plastic pages. Like Chris said, some hands point right, some hands point left, and some backs are blank.
