When I post here I like to post my best as well, but tend not to get much response. Here is a recent pick-up...do you think it is more valuable because it measures tall and has a wide white gap in the middle?

Default Yellowhorse

I picked this up in Feb., but just getting around to posting it now. Not sure what happened to it - some type of art deco creation. It looks like someone painted a blue rectangle around the back of Moses, then used white paint to outline him. Finally, they used a red pen to make Xs all around his silhouette. Also, they glued his name on a piece of paper that is partially covered. In hand, it's actually pretty cool to look at! Any info on what/why this is what it is would be appreciated!

Tony,

Not sure what that Yellowhorse picture is but, on the back it mentions something about the Plain Dealer Library from 1965. The Plain Dealer is the main daily newspaper still operating in Cleveland, Ohio, Possibly came from them and something they did? Not sure but, maybe a place to check with.

Default One card mailday...

....but it's a good one.

Good news is that it shipped really fast, bad news is that I missed out on $22 eBay bucks because I paid too quickly.

Any other members here win any of these?

Ha! I won one of those too and was thinking the exact same thing. I even thought about it as I was paying that I should wait until morning to see if an ebay bucks offer popped up, but decided to pay instantly. At least I think you got yours for a decent price. I had a nuclear snipe blow up in my face. Oh well, it happens...

Let's just say the price of this card was drastically cut.

Nice Morehouse by the way. I was thinking on bidding on one of them for the type collection, but have decided to concentrate all my future efforts on picking up E98 cards ripped in half.

Haha, Leon, 'tis but a scratch!

Ed -- Great cards, thanks for sharing! I, for one, often don't know when to chime in to say "great card!" although I think it often when looking through the pickups thread. I guess I don't want to point out one card and leave others thinking that their cards weren't appreciated as well! So I end up saying nothing...

Anyways, I received this in the mail today...I love this pose with the sunset background.

Cheers,
Steve

Same here (not much of a +1 man). This card always reminds me why in the heck I collect what I do. The design of the Matty is just fantastic, and you have a good looking example. Congrats on joining the Matty horizontal club!

Seems like you are starting with the tough ones and working backwards! Great subject for a back run. I only have the Piedmont, but I bought it from Dr. Frank, so I like it a lot.
