Wow, the intent of this thread flew over the heads of most.

Rips are always bad

I've had a card go through the wash, but never washed and burned!

I think this gentleman's first name is pronounced cray-ah-said in his native Dominican Republic but it's still apt, as it appeals to people who get the spirit of the thread and to those who simply favor names based on crotch appeal.

How about a couple of Nicks, a burn, and a mark.

I nominate pitcher Bob Owchinko of the Cleveland Indians. As i don't speak Japanese, it's my understanding his name "Owchinko" translates to "little penis." For broadcasts of Indians games in Japan, announcers referred to him as "Bob Smith."

Although I can't come close to beating Denny's "Seaman Seaman" story , here's a few personal ones:

A guy on one of my old NJ bowling teams: Peter Hurts

My RA of my college freshman dorm: Dick Kuntz

BTW, "Gross" (Austrian) isn't the easiest name to have. I remember in Kindergarten, we were all sitting around our little table having milk and cookies. One kid laughed, and shot milk out his nose. All the other kids yelled "GROSS !!!," and then in unison pointed at me and laughed........ I remember as a 5 year old kid saying to myself: Man, that's going to get old real fast.

I once knew a girl whose uncle was named Golden Dick.

There was an ad specialty salesmen in the area named Dick Stiff.

My inner 12 year old needs to go back in his room now.

- to make the connection to sports, I had to recall that this guys son played on the same tee-ball team I once coached.

The fellow's name...and I am not making it up...is Harry Beavers. His wife's name is Pat.
