Don't let that get you down...it's part of the hobby and will always be part of the hobby. You would have been even more depressed if you had read the thread from last year regarding shill bidding. If you stick with "collector grade" stuff and don't try to go for the "high end" / high grade cards, you will be (mostly) fine. If that's your thing, then you need to tread with caution...where there's money, evil lurks.

Would you happen to still have the link regarding the shill bidding? I know what shilling is; but it is definitely something I should know more about.

In terms of the high-end stuff, unfortunately I have already dove down that part of the pool; and now just trying to tread water...

That's the one. Grab a beer and some popcorn before reading through that long thread...amazing how quickly we all decided to "forget" the past. It feels like we're all still full speed ahead, although, admittedly, I still have reservations with a few Auction Houses since this thread went viral.
