Just like Richard above. He bought it slabbed and freed it from its prison.

I think the best way to say it is that I prefer raw, but will not avoid slabbed if I need it and its the best option available.

thanks for your fair input I know you are not a fan of slabbing especially PSA
but you at least acknowledge there may be a reason to pay a premium for a slabbed ticket if no other example is available
but from a layman's point of view when buying any ticket of any substantial value
say that number is $500 or higher being encapsulated by the worlds leader in ticket authentication (yes I am bias) can only help verses a raw ticket from "grandpa's collection" a lot of reproductions are now being offered especially
Lou Gehrig Memorial Game , Babe Ruth W/Series called shot both desirable tickets (there are others as well)
deliberately aged to look old but mostly sold as copies , however some of these
have resurfaced and not being offered as copies so one should tread carefully
should someone be willing to spend $1000-2000 on a Ruth called shot raw ticket or unslabbed with no sound verifiable provenance , so its piece of mind and the extra cost is justified I think , once again "I am bias" at last count PSA submissions 2,674,000 and counting so its not just me who thinks there is some value in certain items being encased which also protects raw item against handling
preserves their current condition , so you can show them with out fear of damage if touched by hand
