Changing topic a bit...in this auction, what is the logic for how i***i is bidding, if there is any?

Ebay encourages this type of bidding with their little pop up bidding window if you don't get the high bid it asks you if you want to bid again. Incremental bidding until you reach the top bid. It's the reason I took the ebay app off of my phone because I got tired of it making 20 consecutive little bell sounds every time someone would bid like that on one of my items.
