Yes, but perhaps they are more likeable and have managed to seduce the very people they are defrauding.

I have no support for Peter Nash but Third Base was hugely influential. MC Serch produced Illmatic, the best hip hop album of all time.

Not to get off topic, but it's "3rd Bass". And yes they were completely legit and had some street cred and Illmatic was/is highly influential. MC Serch "founded" Nas which he debuted on "Back to the Grill Again". Just listened to it yesterday. "My rhymes is hotter than a prostitute with gonorrhea" hahaha

The Nashs own a beautiful piece of lakefront property on the lake north of Cooperstown. A Mercedes has been sitting rotting in the driveway for years. The house and garage probably need to be torn down but it is still a very valuable piece of property that his creditors, bank, Rob Lifson, Fraser etc. have been fighting to get sold. Sale has been stalled by bankruptcy filings and other legal manuvering. I think the tax liens held up the most recent auction attempt last summer. All I can say is that if you mention Peter's name to any of the Cooperstown locals, they either roll their eyes or cringe.

To keep it a little off topic, I had never really heard that much about 3rd Bass and thought they were more of a boy band like New Kids on The Block. Now The Beastie Boys was some awesome white rap. “BLEEP, if this is gonna be that kind of party, I'm gonna stick my BLEEP in the mashed potatoes!” hahaha.

Beastie Boys was awesome Hip-Hop period. No need to qualify "white".

They are in the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame, along with Grandmaster Flash, Run-DMC, N.W.A, Public Enemy and Johnny Cash

I prefer Bryce Harper's walk-up song that we discussed a while back. "All my bitches the pick of the litter."

3rd Bass was absolutely 100% not a boy band. They broke up after 2 albums. Debut was incredible, the next one was so-so. But they were definitely much respected in the hip hop community for sure.
