They use the second account to stick up for their main account, hype a sale, hype a pickup, and many many more reasons. I have seen a few accounts that I assumed was a second account.

Leon, I would like to nominate you to fill the cabinet position as head of Homeland Security, unless President-elect Trump has already done so. We do not want him here in Washington, D.C. Too many morons and idiots on both sides of the aisle. He would get swept up in the verbal diarrhea. I am only here due to a job. I ignore the rectum expectorant that passes for intelligence that bombards us each day.

+1 About four years ago we had a guy show us a fake Doyle, NAT'L card. Then a week later he tried to sell it on eBay, and when we said that it was a fake, he came on and claimed that he had seen the card at a show, it was real, and "I've been trying to buy it from the seller."

Leon banned him. If he had used a second account we may never have caught on that he was schilling a card that he himself owned.
