Thanks for enlarging the bat scan, Patrick. Is there an easy way for me to do that?

Default 1915 Cornell-Michigan Football Program

It took until the end of the year, but finally was able to scratch an item off my "Top 10 Want List"...I've been after this program for a while.

John and Gary - beautiful bats! I will always have a sweet spot (pun intended ) for baseball pieces that were functional plus aesthetically beautiful. Great choices and congrats on owning them.

Congrats Joe! I love antique college football memorabilia. I picked up some early Notre Dame programs this year for resell purposes, but just can't let them go.

Default Ira Thomas Types head my list for 2016

Ira Thomas Types head my list of my top pieces of memorabilia that I picked up in 2016.

Picked up a 1911 Ira Thomas PE2 Diamond Gum pin in trade for some catcher postcards, and a 1913 Ira Thomas Cravat from the National. Two tough Thomas types.

Thanks Dan. I actually started my collecting 'career' collecting college football programs - I love much of the cover artwork. Would like to see some of those early ND programs you have.

A $1 for the Nebraska?? Wow. That program would fetch a pretty penny..$500+. The Navy program too would fetch a nice price.

Default One of my favorites

 photo Jules Dubois 34x22inch T_zpsnxs8enoj.jpg

I don't know if this is my favorite pick-up for the year....but I'm pretty excited about it...just unpacked it a week ago...I'm still sorting it out just what I have...but I'm thinking it's one of the most important cycling broadsides extant...on either side of the pond...I found a reference to this race and learned he came in third...must have been a bad hair day...Another reference on him said Dubois came to the United States the following year after this race...along with a group of other cyclist...and raced here...

Aside from being for a big name cyclist..some important aspects of the poster are that it's dated...and the race was in England, thus in English so we can read it...as opposed to being in French...Also this photo doesn't do it justice...In person it's not tan...it's a mustard yellow with black type...so a real eye catcher!!

Brian: That is a huge pick-up! Could give Annie a run for best tourist attraction on PEI. I realize that Graig did the heavy lifting by painting the sucker but what a brilliant idea to commission this iconic hockey image! Great going all around.
