I had consigned the 1960s - 1970s Panini boxing cards which were in the auction - most went for less than I expected, and some were far less.
Al did well to try and promote the auction, but for some of these cards which don't have a huge following, an auction format can be difficult to maximize prices if it doesn't reach just the right buyers. For example, the '66 Liston PSA 9 has sold for $150 - $175 in the past year, but had only a single bidder at $50. The '73 VIP card of Ali / Frazier in PSA 8 sold for only $35, whereas PSA 5's has sold for $70 - $90 in the past year. So, not thrilled with the results on my items, though many of the other items (most of the Jack Johnson cards) appeared to have strong results.
