I got a complete set of Metropolitan Studio St. Louis Cardinals. There are 30 cards in the set, 7 HOF'ers including Branch Rickey.

They were all glued to scrapbook pages. Also glued to some pages were a few Wheaties box cutouts.

It was pretty busy. Must have heard the name Austin Matthews a thousand times today. Got annoying, what can ya do.

Thanks, Marty.

Pretty much what I thought.

Default Toronto Show Pick Ups.

Super heavy on the hockey up in Toronto. Did find a couple pre-war. Picked up these two T206's.
CrigerCasey.jpg

Best part of the show was meeting HOFer, Gaylord Perry.

...I gotta get to a U.S. National.

I was hoping to go today but opted to work O.T. instead.

I may, (but not likely), attend tomorrow, mainly due to the fact it is likely mostly hockey, especially with the big UD RC hockey release.

Sunday, my son has hockey in the morning himself (I'm the assistant coach/trainer) so I likely won't be going then either?

How was the crowd today, and was there much baseball, mainly 52 Topps available that you seen?

Nice pick-up on the Metropolitan Studios Cardinals, Dave. BTW the Dizzy Dean is a rookie too.

Congrats. When I first started collecting it took me several years to get my first VE...

Began the '33 Goudey set approximately 4 months ago (approx. 20% complete) and purchased my second Iron Horse card yesterday.

Default Paddy Livingston "Big A" T207

Picked up the last variation I needed of the 3 Paddy Livingston T207s, The "Big A" version, which has a Napoleon back.

Now I have all the catchers in the set minus Irving Lewis.

In case anyone was wondering how my Needham back turned out here it is. I may try to soak it again to see if more of the glue will come off.
