Not sure exactly how many years it took, but I finished my 1979 Topps baseball set a few years ago. I decided to finish at least one set that I started when I was a kid. So I took the cards that I had from opening packs in 1979 and put my checklist together old school. Pen & paper
After attending a few card shows, my set was complete. Ironically the majority of the missing cards that I needed were checklists. I also had to replace my original checklists since I had marked off the cards I had back in 1979. So I guess the answer to your question is about 3 decades. |
