I picked up this Willett. This is the seventh different one that I know of
so there must have been quite a few sheets printed with whatever caused the
damage.

It's actually a nail. And those are very cool cards, because they're proof the set was printed on a flatbed press that was printing from stones. I think I had a pretty involved post about it a while ago. It may have been a PM.

Sorry for bringing back old threads... I picked up a Heritage lot that didn't list (in photos or text) most of the cards. This Willett was included, so I believe that this is yet another to be added.
