I could be wrong but if you knew the story it is more believable. I think he is checking on them for a relative. That is really all I can say about it but if he wants to come back and explain more he can. I do think they are real and are close to him. It's not a random troll situation, I don't think. Like I say, I wish him the best. And btw, if he comes back I see no reason he can't only have his user id out here. He picked up the phone when I called .

Judging from the scans I just saw, I agree the cards def look legit. Just the story is so surreal, almost eBay esc

Default T206 Find

The cards look real to me but I did not see the Doyle NY Natl. I believe that was the card on the list that got everyone's attention.
Nice Find
Congrats

Sean, I don't believe your list is the same as the "basement find". I sorted your list and then tried to post them side by side. This is much easier in Excel then on the board! I highlighted the cards that are different in the "basement find". I didn't go through the whole list and make the differences in bold, just the first 10, but you get the idea.

First off I will say I know very little about T206 cards. Second I will say they all look fuzzy and out of focus like counterfeit cards. Never seen a real Piedmont back with stray printer dots like those appear to have.

Cards look legit to me, very nice. I am just curious at this point to the story behind them. Who finds T206s in plastic sleeves in their own basement? Who's cards were they? Again, best of luck.

I'm guessing that's from the low image quality, plus the fact that (I'm guessing) you're looking at it on a relatively large screen. That image is only 574.19 kb, so it was probably taken with an older cell phone. When it's blown up on a computer screen, it's going to look fuzzy, especially in the parts where the camera wasn't focusing. I would want to see scans rather than a cell phone picture before coming to any conclusions.
