Actually I prefer the same era for collecting - 50's and 60's will be my focus for sets, but Mattingly and some of the other stars of the 80's hold a soft spot in my heart. Ripken, Gwynn, and Ozzie Smith to name a few. I had great card show experiences with Gwynn and Smith, and Ripken just for what he did for baseball.
