When I was a kid, the governor of CA came to visit my home town.
I assume that in most places when this happens, the first person to meet him would be the Mayor, the Chief of Police or somebody else "official", but when it happened in my home town, this just turned 14 year old kid jumped inside the limo before the Governor had a chance to get out. He politely declined my autograph request, but had me give my address to an aide.
