I cannot speak to TPG nomenclature. There is a series of cards with the same font printing that looks like this:
![]() I am not sure how the TPGs reference this variation. I've always thought of it as script printing. It doesn't really look like a signature to me. The other versions look like they are signed: Perhaps the better distinction is hand lettered versus machine printed?
