These would be produced through Photo File, who has the licensing.

..I'd love to see a version of those gorgeous pictures printed with a narrow white border so us centering weenies would have something to agonize over and kvetch about..

..sort of similar to the 1930's Gold Medal Wheaties or Worch Cigar style , as an optional design and size...good luck with this ; fascinating concept : new old cards !

Copyright lasts 75 years for "works for hire" (e.g. August 24, 1941) or life of the author (e.g. photographer) plus 50 years for non-"works for hire" so most of these negatives should be public domain, no?

Edited to add: Not sure why you would need an MLB license without copyright protection. Maybe Paul can add something . . . .

In the glass plate negative archive at Photo File there is at one that I know of but it wasn't part of "The 1930's" set. It's Ruth in street clothes going through a turnstile.

Thanks for the input! Definitely, I would want them to be bordered but I think we're going to have to stick to standard sizes due to licensing restrictions. Even 5x7's might be pushing it. Project would have to be approved by MLB, so we'll see what they come back with once we're ready to move forward.
