..these are the 1937 Type 5's from the R314 Goudey Premiums set , the 'wide pens' ; International League : Toronto and Montreal , and then they added a dozen Tigers ( because in the winter Detroit might as well be in Canada )

You wouldn't think that being surrounded by a teaming mass of boys would bring out the grin from within Landis...I would have expected another outbreak of extreme Frowny Face. Just shows you can't judge a Judge by his commissioner cover.
