Great stuff, Henry, Chris and Joe! Beautiful and very well thought out displays!

My new space is starting to take shape after much cleaning, organizing, unpacking and other stuff that's not exactly fun. However it's coming together slowly but surely...

Mark -- Those displays are fantastic. Museum quality. May I ask what the caps are resting on? Thanks

To icollectDCsports...

They are called Vintage "Hat Forms" or "Hat Molds". They are typically dark wood, and were used by Milliners, back in the day. They have rich antique look, and go especially well with vintage hat styles like Pillbox, Boater, Boston Style, and virtually all short-brimmed or pre-war Caps.

Pretty easy to find, as there is always a good selection on ebay. Here are a few examples...

Another...

You'll find lots more by searching the key words "hat form" and "hat mold". If you find one you like that's roughly 21" in circumference, it should work for most adult-sized Hats. I believe a 21" circumference equates to a size 7 1/8 (or at least very close to that). I highly recommend these for displaying the early ones.

Hope this helps!

Mark -- Thanks very much for the info about the hat molds. Very cool and they really are great for displaying your hats.
