I'm starting to love these Obak's. I think they are the most visually pleasing cards (right behind Cracker Jacks).

I'll keep it going with the Obaks, along with a personal favorite - 1916 panoramic of the team with a fan group after a game (doesn't display great in a small pic, but I love it in person).

This is a special project to me.

Years ago, Zackary who is now 14, watched the show with me.
Since then we have began collecting 1919 Series things, from both Chicago and The Reds.

This show and the history of the scandal, are very special because we share a passion for it.

Leon, you met my son and me at the National in Chicago last year, and allowed him to hold the Honus Wagner. He still talks about that to this day and how he was shaking. Thank you Leon!

Since we already have an Obak Weaver, I will show my only other card associated with the scandal, Frederick Foto Joe Gedeon (sorry, not a Black Sox).

Abe Attell started his boxing career at the young age of 18. He won 125 matches out of 172, including 51 KO's.. He retired from professional boxing in 1917.

Supposedly, Abe Attell was the bag man for gambler Arnold Rothstein and was alleged to have given $10,000 to several Chicago White Sox players during the 1919 World Series.
