Well... Here's the complete set of four, which apparently failed to meet Lelands' $5K reserve. I believe the set was re-listed in a subsequent auction, and sold for somewhere between 3.5K and 4K (if memory serves).

I cannot find the follow-up listing, however. It was probably in a Mastro/Legendary auction, for which we all lament the fact that those archives are now hidden to the public. Very frustrating, as their database was the most complete in terms of historical reference.

Thanks Clint...

Can't get the archive portion to work, though. The "History" seems to require a User ID and Password. Apparently my old ones are now inactive, as they will not "take".

Perhaps someone out there has the ability or tech expertise to get around this? Either way... Much appreciated!

Also this may be a stupid question but do you or anyone know if the figures where based on anyone or are they just a generic boy

Almost positive they are generic. I don't think those distant Germans could tell Cap Anson from Buck Ewing if their life depended on it!
