I used to love Coaches Corner ads in SCD. They would always try and get a picture of one of their lackeys running down a star player at the airport. Then under the photo which was obviously taken of the player in a hurry to get somewhere it would say "Joe Superstar signing all that we have." That always made me laugh.

The Stan's Sports ads were always good for a laugh, too. They perpetually had a photo of a very aged Frank Crosetti propped up for a private signing. I guess that lent credibility to the endless offering of bats and balls "signed" by every A list celebrity, rare HOFer and U.S. President.
